The Biological Hardware for Culture

Turns out intangible stuff like culture and empathy actually have a biological infrastructure (free reg req'd). That is neurons ("mirror neurons") in our brains that allow us to

grasp the minds of others not through conceptual reasoning but through direct simulation.

Yes, that means when you see someone doing something, mirror neurons simulate that action within your brain and allow you to understand the associated intentions, social meanings, and emotions.

Damn, it's a glorious age for neuroscience! In the coming years and decades, such findings will certainly have a huge impact on everything from psychology to brand management. Just imagine knowing the actual structure of the neural networks that manage brands within people's minds. Being able to objectively understand what is now, at best, guessed.
