Visit three branding biggies on the web in this order:

3. Wolff Olins.

Only look at the homepage for no longer than five seconds then compare your impressions. Mine are, in the same order:

1. Boxy
2. Grid still perceivable
3. Free-flow.

What does that tell you about each of the three brand consultancies?

Disclosure #1: I have no particular like or dislike in regard to any of them.
Disclosure #2: My agency's own website is in dire need of a good overhaul. But who needs a corporate website today when one has a weblog? ;-)

Big Fish Eats, No--Works with, Small Fish

Well, one of the biggest brand portfolio owners (Unil)ever has decided to take a glitzy ad job from its big ad agency JWT and hand it out to a couple of rather small agencies like Desgrippes Gobe (design) and BrandThinkTank (strategic planning), AdAge reports.

That gets me dreaming about big fish everywhere waking up to today's reality, where size alone ain't no marker for either success or fit. Not all of them are doing it, and not that often. Yet.
