Citroen just did it. And the reason? Bringing the famous DS back to life. For those unfamiliar with automotive history, let me just dip into linguistics a bit: in French, DS is pronounced much like deesse, which means goddess. It's all intentional and, based on my limited knowledge, well deserved.
Plus, staying the course in unfavorable times (and go ahead with lots of other things from the realm of customer experience) always reflects well in my book.
As for the re-done logo itself, let's just say it's really not the most important thing in the whole rebranding process. Tony Spaeth has recently (and justly) reviewed it here.
